![]() amp didn't rock hard, and the guitar sound it produced was great and worked really well for classic style rock. I know people like to sh*t on Solid State amps and only Tubes will do.and I hear that, I love the tube sound too.īut I'll be damned if this little $100. I totally forgot I was playing through my "Little tiny Vox." It was a great night, my guitar was sounding hot and I had a great time playing. ![]() I was really floored how well this worked. So I left my BM pedal on as a classic crunchy rhythm sound, used my guitar volume to clean up or break up as needed, and used the TS pedal for solo boosts. I am not at all used to hearing my guitar in stereo coming out of the PA. I was able to set a decent clean sound that pushed the amp, and I could still hear the amp on stage like a rear line monitor, but I could also hear and feel the "Whump!" of air moving as my guitar came out the PA. Well hearing that little thing driving through the PA system was incredible! I just think it sounds decent and has a nice little gain stage and works good for practice. I always just use the amp for practice at home and never really paid much attention to the backside of it. So we get there and setup and I tell the sound guy to just mic the amp and he looks in back and goes, "there's a line out I'll just run it." (at least to my ears that's what it sounds like it's doing.) I knew from experience that a Bad Monkey pedal drives the amp really well and a Tube Screamer can cut some low frequencies out and drive the mids forward for solos. ![]() I figured they could just mic the amp and it'd be good enough for one gig. ![]() (slips my mind atm which.)Īnyway last night I went out to play, and with the cold and the ice (and admittedly the feeling of, "I don't want to carry heavy sh*t tonight on ice.") I grabbed my Vox and a couple pedals and headed out and left my trusty Soul Tramp at home. It's a small thing, 15w SS with (I think) spring reverb. Just wanted to give out a shout out to "the little amp that could." ![]()
